Description
In BMW’s rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, the drive shaft is typically a two-piece design connected by a universal joint. The drive shaft suspension rubber acts as the flexible bridge between the rotating shaft and the car’s body. It consists of a high-grade elastomer ring that suspends a ball bearing, allowing the shaft to spin at high RPMs while absorbing the “shudder” often felt during aggressive acceleration or gear changes.
