The assembly includes internal micro-switches that trigger the interior lights and puddle lamps, as well as a mechanical override for the physical key blade. To maintain the cabin’s isolation, the internal gears are designed for near-silent operation, encased in a sound-dampening housing to prevent the “clacking” common in standard actuators.
